Not in Our Town

Thirty members of the Alle-Kiski Community Relations Council traveled to Pittsburgh to attend an anti-Ku Klux Klan rally at Market Square on Saturday, April 5, 1997.
The group joined thousands from Western Pennsylvania who converged on the site at noon to tell the Klan "Not in Our Town." The Market Square Rally took place several blocks away from a simultaneous rally by about 40 klansmen on the steps of the City-County Building.

Anita Fine is Convener of the Alle-Kiski Community Relations Council. Click here to listen to her impressions of the day.
